Netflix announced on Wednesday the launch of two original video podcasts exclusive to its subscribers. Michael Irvins ‘The White House’ begint op 19 januari met streamen, terwijl Pete Davidsons ‘The Pete Davidson Show’ op 30 januari debuteert.
Pete Davidson has two successful comedy specials on Netflix. Michael Irvin featured prominently in the platform’s documentary series “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys.”
Davidson’s show will offer candid, behind-the-scenes conversations with friends recorded in his garage. Elke vrijdag worden er nieuwe afleveringen uitgezonden. Irvin’s podcast will provide in-depth sports news, analysis, and commentary twice a week. It will include guest co-hosts such as former NFL All-Pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
These originals expand Netflix’s video podcast offerings, which include licensed titles from iHeartMedia, Spotify, and Barstool Sports. Examples are Dear Chelsea, My Favorite Murder, and The Ringer. Under the licensing agreements, these shows are not available in full on YouTube.
The announcement aligns with Netflix’s efforts to compete with YouTube in the podcast space.
